Welcome to Austin’s tiniest kids’ calendar with just a few carefully selected activities during the coming week, usually hiking, music and art-related.
Bonneville County Pine Box at Guero’s
Saturday, May 26 at 6:30pm
Bonneville County Pine Box plays a mix of bluegrass, country and pop that does an especially good job of inspiring kids to dance the night away. Besides that, Guero’s makes the very best margarita in town and you can get one right there on the patio.
Umlauf Sculpture Gardens
Enjoy the last of the less-than-100-degree weather this week at Umlauf Sculpture Gardens on Barton Springs Road, just East of Barton Springs. I can’t decide which I like more, the gardens or the sculptures, but the best part is you don’t have to pick.
The Austin Zoo may not be as fancy as the big city zoos, but I like that it is a rescue zoo and it looks more natural than a typical zoo. It’s another good place to enjoy the Spring weather and the great outdoors.
