The Same But Different

I was feeling like a fancy grown up when I was heading down to The Continental Gallery on South Congress to see Dana Wheeler with my Mom friends whose husbands were watching the sleeping kids. I was looking forward to live music and a few good drinks.

I went out for coffee first, because I don’t often do things that start after my bed time.

Instead of waking me up, the coffee made my stomach ache so when I got to the bar, I was drinking water instead of vodka and sucking on Tums.

It’s the same, but different, as when I was young. I’ll focus on the part that is the same. The music was good and the girlfriends were even better. I can’t wait to do it again.
